If miffed Republicans are so dismayed with the direction of the U.S.A., why not move to Alaska, help the secessionist movement there and start the kind of government they desire? Afterall, with more disenfranchised citizens realizing their voice as voters, I don't think we'll be going the way of Jesse Helms and Strom Thurmond, much less Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh.

Give 'em Alaska. They can drill to their heart's content, not have to worry about global warming and hunt, snowmobile and drive out the remaining indigenous people -- a manifest destiny conservative's dream-come-true.

(OK, I don't really want to see that happen -- but some of the hate-filled conservative hard-liners might like the idea).
