One six-pack and Palin speech away from a lynching

I was stunned by the audience at McCain’s Wisconsin event. It was tragic evidence of the racism and hate that is still so entrenched in American culture. It is obvious that the McCain campaign is using not so disguised language to stoke racist hate and fears. If Sen. Obama had walked into that Wisconsin gym the crowd would have torn him apart, limb from limb. Having lived and worked in small western towns with militias and other anti-government fruitcakes that believe in bizarre government plots I can tell you from personal experience that McCain and Palin are inciting one of these idiots into violence. I have already seen Obama pictures being used for target practice at shooting ranges and plenty of talk about what would happen if "that n***r Arab" came to their town.

After all the lofty speeches and talk about a “post race” America, the truth is that many of our fellow citizens are only one six-pack and a Palin speech away from a lynching.

I do know what America is like when uneducated simpletons like Palin, McCain, Bush and company run this country: a massive deficit, our country is hated around the world, one pointless war, losing one war, the largest deficit in our history, and an economy down the toilet. I wonder how much better things could get with another Republican administration.
